Early Voting Hours for Franklin County

The polls are open in Ohio! Early voting has started for the high stakes 2020 general election including the Presidental election and many local elections as well. There are many options for you to cast your vote, in-person, absentee, or on election day (November 3rd). If you choose to vote early in Ohio, you’ll have until November 2nd to do so at the Franklin County Board of Elections. The BOA is located at 1700 Morse Road Columbus, Ohio 43229. If you are choosing to vote early in person, there are lots of opportunities.

Below you’ll find the dates and times available for in-person early voting for Franklin County.

October 6th-16th

Monday through Friday only 8:00am-4:00pm

October 19th-23rd

Monday through Friday only 8:00am-6:00pm

October 24th

Saturday only 8:00am-4:00pm

October 25th

Sunday only 1:00pm-5:00pm

October 26th-3oth

Monday through Friday only 8:00am-7:00pm

October 31st

Saturday only 8:00am-4:00pm

November 1st

Sunday only 1:00pm-5:00pm

November 2nd

Franklin County Board of Elections is taking extra measures to make voting in person safer during this pandemic. Poll workers will be wearing protective gear, extra disinfecting and cleaning is being conducted, along with privacy shields and more.

President Trump Weaponized White Extremist Group Proud Boys At Presidential Debate

[caption id="attachment_912012" align="alignnone" width="600"] Source: Array / WENN[/caption] During the first presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden Tuesday night (Sept. 29), the extremist group Proud Boys got a hefty mention. When pressed by moderator Chris Wallace to speak to the issues surrounding white supremacy, Trump weaponized the group by telling them to “stand by” like a racist Commander-In-Chief. Wallace asked pointedly for Trump to condemn the actions of white supremacist groups, which the FBI categorizes as extremists and a threat to national security. Seizing the moment as only he can, President Trump responded in a most surprising fashion. “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by! But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left,” Trump fired back. When both men were presented with how to tackle some of the ongoing discussions around race and how to build bridges between varying communities, both Trump and Biden had their stumbles but it was the former business mogul who seemed determined to rile up his base and stick to some of the right-wing conspiracy talking points that have made around online and in social media. The Proud Boys, which was founded just ahead of the 2016 election, seemingly relished in the Trump shoutout and reportedly changed their group logo to reflect the “stand back and stand by” utterance shared during the debate.
